I believe that the increased productivity numbers that we all so frequently quote here come directly from the Federal Reserve Board, not the Clinton Admin.

And please spare us the Fed Chair is appointed crap.

Very interesting perspective, from one man's view. But you forgot to mention few fundamental reasons such as fall of communism in Russia and the end of cold war. Baby boom generation hitting their peak spending.
I don't know where you consult, but my experience with technology has been great, it lowered the expenses by 50% in some areas.

You may be still believing in Horse-Buggy and Messenger Boy era. Your negativism is so immense that you appear to be living in stone age.

My worries would be China and Government over-regulation. Let us revisit in 2005 and see who is correct.
