John, re: connectivity in the hinderlands

To update, I checked out covad.com. They "service" the Sacramento area now, but ahem - not so good for me.

They offer me only "IDSL", giving 144Kbs for $90 bucks per month! In other words DSL like service over an ISDN connection. The ISDN part is "tarrifed", translated to "overpriced" by my Phone Gestapo. I've have lots of work to do here, and lots of frustration ahead methinks!

ANYONE! - Anyone know who sells a cheap "DSLAM" that services ten client DSL loops downstream and muxes upstream with some protocol that is affordable? It needs to exist in a remote service cabinet, not a rack. It I can locate the right equipment perhaps I'll start my own co-op here!
