Happy Turkey Day Eve to all you Americanos out there!

Brian - is there any reason you've been unresponsive to my recent (well they're in there somewhere) posts? Especially in regards to your idea of repentance, which directly contradicts your idea of free will not existing. (to wit the addition of a final judgement does certainly seem mute).
A JPG may be roughly the same size as a GIF... but reducing the resolution or color depth WILL change the size regardless of format.

C Kahn - I don't think Brian ever attacked either one of us. He's fervant in his debate, and sometimes that seems like he is attacking us, but I do not think this was ever the case. He was simply trying to make a point (and even if I don't agree with it I think it was supported as such). I hope you have reflected and come to the same conclusion. PS. you really don't have to listen to BV unless he makes sense, which he has not been doing for nearly 200 posts (but rather ranting back at TD and AJ).

truedog - I agree that the simplicity with which BV could have ended all of this muck is blinding.

AJ - to this point you have done nothing but disagree... which as I recall is how/why there is discussion. I always like a devil's advocate... and I can see that it has been both you and BV from time to time.

gg, etc... newcomers - what does the bible say to do; it says to confront that brother face to face with their wrongdoing. If they deny it, bring it AT LEAST two others. If still they deny it, bring it before the Church for judgement.
Matt 18:
15
"If your brother sins against you, [2] go and show him his fault, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over.
16
But if he will not listen, take one or two others along, so that `every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.' [3]
17
If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector. "

peace all.

-maouse

maouse, I, certainly, don't want to start any thing with you but amity, but do Catholics really consider themselves a particular sect, apart, and above, from all other Christians? I had never realized that this concept existed. I want to make it clear that, I have no axe to grind with people who choose to worship in the Catholic church, as long as they truly believe in Jesus, of course, but, since I am written into the books of the hierarchy of Rome as a bastard, there is no love lost between me and Rome.

I was going to say that, I felt sympathy for you and your wife at your wedding but, as I consider it longer, I feel pity for you godparents who live with such intolerance in their hearts. FWIW, it was your wedding. How it was done, was your call.

^^TD^^

maouse, I think it really is a sad situation when family members don't speak for years because of religious differences. It sounds like you had a very beautiful wedding. And the Lord held back the rain for it. Our God is an awesome God!!! I'm glad that you were able to make peace with your grandmother.

God Bless you and your family, Colleen
