weakness in bonds occasions buying panic in tech stocks. "we have to buy something - after all with the dot.coms with no earnings, what could possibly happen? a negative earnings surprise? ROTFL!"

Mohan, some will do well; others will shrivel up and blow away; virtually all will suffer unbullish stock price volatility.

BTW it's the accounting tricks, etc. you referred to in your post that are keeping reported (for taxes) earnings low. Nothing like keeping one set of books for the IRS and another for Wall Street to keep the picture looking rosy.
