Not sure. For 30 bucks a month I figured I'd just try it and see for a few months. You might check their web site, seems like they send you a disk and you can use it, but for updates, you have to activate your account.

Hutch: I originally tried a free trial about a year and half ago.

It was supposed to involve down-loading data for a thirty day period.
Unfortunately, the second day I tried to download they told me I'd used up my free credit.

Then I just let it sit.

Finally, in late August I received an eMail from them that there was a special offer in effect until Aug. 31st
I bit.

I arranged for a debit from my Credit Card.

Then I tried to download. Wouldn't work.

I contacted their support, explained the error message.
Received a message back saying they were sending me a new disc. - No other comment about my error message.

I waited. Nothing arrived.
I contacted them again a few weeks later.
They were sending a disc immediately.

I waited another few weeks.
Nothing.

I contacted them and asked for a refund against my credit card.
I received a message that they were immediately sending me a new disc.
Nothing.

Waited another month.

Wrote again requesting a refund.
Message back - they were immediately sending me a disc.

Nothing.

That's been my experience with TC2000.

So far, not so good.

Re:Does TC2000 have a free trial?

Sometimes brokers have arranged a free trial to TC2000 or magazines or whatever. Go to your broker's web site and see if there isn't some "special offers" link or some such. I got three months free through some broker -- Schwab or Discover maybe?

Good luck.
