Apollo, are you actually compiling a list of thread favorites or something along those lines? That would be very interesting.

My allocation for the record is:

QCOM: 144%
RNWK: 9%

Cheers!

Daiju

Here's my portfolio:

QCOM - 58% (gorilla)
GMST - 22% (gorillalet)
HLIT - 12% (my fiber optic play in lieu of JDSU)
EMC - 5% (king)
AMGN - 4% (?)

About half is for the kid's college (and maybe a nice vacation or two if things go well) in 7-12 years, and the other half is in IRAs with a horizon of 30 years.

I've consolidated from 11 stocks to five this year. I've noticed a remarkable improvement not just by being invested in a few stocks that have done exceptionally well but by also getting rid of laggards and reinforcing the winners over time.

JDB, good to hear from the thread Psychologist. We don't hear enough from you. You must have kicked the thread addiction.

Unfortunately, I only kicked the "post to see myself post" addiction! I still read just about every message here... and it IS an addiction!

Qcom is definitely a thread favorite. Is this group-think, or the product of astute group-insight?

I think its probably a little group-think, but more a product of astute group insight (though I may be deluded by my group-think!):-)

I'm impressed that you and Pompsander are hanging in with Rambus.

I am too. I've had thoughts recently of bailing, but I remind myself that I haven't seen any particularly negative news (aside from the delays, that are not unusual in the chip business), but a lot of FUD on the Rambus thread. Its one of those that I know as soon as I sell, it will rocket. So...I'll hold for awhile longer.

Happy Thanksgiving! Its been a heck of a year. I keep reminding myself, "Don't confuse brains for a bull market, Don't confuse brains for a bull market"...but its hard not to! :-)

Stan, My holdings - approximately:

qcom - 40%
jdsu - 15%
gmst - 8%
sfe - 8%
rfmd - 6%
sndk - 5%
cmgi - 4%
gnet - 4%
others - 10%

the "others" category has decreased substantially over the past 6 months and will continue to fall. May add new funds to JDSU, VISX (currently 2%) and BVSN.
