Heinz,

If I were to venture a guess about why the Feds keep funneling money into the stock market, I'd say its because algae.com is going to retire in February (or around that time). Does anybody think he's going to let this thing pop before he gets out, if he can possibly keep that from occurring? I certainly don't...

I think I read that all his investments are tied up in boring stuff. I'm guessing that the day he "gets out" he'll show up on this thread and start selling puts like crazy. <g>. And another <g> for algae.com's attorneys.

Heinz, they are buying time at the expense of the future. I cannot imagine that AG does not understand this based upon his well documented understanding of austrian economics. As I noted before what bothers me is that 2000 is an election year so it is quite possible the bubble will continue to be pumped until after the election ( I think AG has a crush on Hillary -g-) The time to deflate was during Clinton's scandals but since the public votes Dow jones not Paula Jones AG could not deflate. The independence of the Fed is a myth IMO. You have noted elsewhere that at some point the monetary inflation will lose its stimulative impact and I suspect we will inflate to that point since those in power have no concern for this country's future just get what you can while you can. What they will accomplish is the worst economy since the Great Depression IMO. TL & EV . mike
