Hockeyfan's finding initial success as a scummer short: CPIH can now be covered at 16 and 3/8, and SNRS at 11 and 1/8.

Brad, this must be very embarrassing.

Hockeyfan's Investor Types

Short - someone who borrows stock shares to sell with the hope of buying them back at a cheaper price.

Active Short - a short that researches the stock they are shorting and posts facts and reasonable conclusions on a stock board about their position.

Short Scummer - a short that twists the facts into improbable, but remotely possible conclusions; or makes baseless, unsubstantiated claims (see GDOG); or who repeatedly volunteers their idiotic opinion ("This stock is a POS. Management are criminals. Yadda, yadda, yadda." without providing support for their claims; in the hopes of creating negative investor sentiment and driving the price of their target's stock down precipitously so they can make some quick bucks

I view myself as an active LONG and a passive to active SHORT. Regardless of which side I am on, I believe it is unethical to post information in an attempt to move the stock price.

The object of every poster should be to further the knowledge and understanding of investors/board participants following the stock - whether they are short or long - not to mislead anybody in the hope of making a quick buck.

Ultimately, there is only one scorecard and it is not a checkbook.
