[World DRAM Price] Spot Price Declines Three Weeks in a Row
November 24, 1999 (TOKYO) -- The 30-day rolling average price of 64Mb DRAMs on the spot market declined for the third straight week.

Prices for large users, however, have remained on an upward trend since September, resulting in a price of US$10 in the United States, Europe and Asia.

Although the 30-day rolling average price on the spot market is higher than that for large users, the day-to-day spot prices are lower than those for large users. Nevertheless, the downward trend in the spot prices seems to have bottomed out since Oct. 20, 1999.

According to worldwide DRAM price survey by ICIS-LOR, the 30-day rolling average of 64Mb DRAMs (PC100, 8M x 8) prices for large users between Oct. 7 and Nov. 5 was US$10.17 in North America, US$11.00 in Europe, and US$10.00 in Asia.

Compared with the 30-day rolling average prices up to Oct 29, it increased 4.12 percent in North America, 3.29 percent in Europe and 2.33 percent in Asia.

ICIS has bases in London, Houston and Singapore.

The spot price for 64MB dual inline memory modules (DIMMs, PC100) decreased 11.58 percent from the previous week to US$90.07 in North America. It was down 12.15 percent to US$95.64 in Europe, and down 11.01 percent to US$94.07 in Asia.
