There is an front page article in the Richmond newspaper today stating the the Motorola West Creek 300mm Fab construction will not begin "for at least another year". It was phased as another is a series of delays. This is the only Fab announcement I read about recently that is, in effect, a push out.

Best Regards,
John Stewart

ps. e-machines work as well as that four letter producer's machine, for about 1/2 the price :')

pss. Happened to meet up with the Fab Manager from White Oak at my daughters birthday. I mentioned in passing that one of my dreams was to tour a fab. He paused, smiled, and said "I wish I could give you a tour". Sorta thought that might be the case :')

Phil,

I keep hearing the institutional money managers claiming that the AMATs, KLACs, NVLSs and LRCXs are fully valued for the cycle's peak earnings and that they're seeking better value within the sector.

This might be part of the explanation for MTSN's superiour relative performance. Personally, I just think that it's a superiour company with a top notch set of products that's in the process of gaining market share.

BWDIK.

And Canadian thanksgiving happened about 6 weeks ago. It's the Monday closest to October 9th in thanks for my mother's birthday. ;-)
