AL T, From a competitive perspective, the article was interesting because of the software vs. hardware aspects of these systems and the fact that the telecos appear to be hardware or switch based. From my experiences as a fibre channel investor, I have gotten used to these considerations. It would seem to me that there may not be an inherent advantage to a hardware based system, because of the high latencies involved - by I am no telephone systems expert. I would appreciate any references or links to the technical (as in engineering) aspects of both the hardware and software involved in CLEC and CTI systems. I think it also would help us clarify exactly what the competitive environment is like for ACEC. Happy Thanksgiving, George D.
