Chemical weapon attacks in Seattle? Boy I'm glad I don't live there . . . that sounds horrible. I'd take my family and be on the next plane out. They must have received some sort of threat.

Preparation has become the norm for most large cities in the U.S. in recent years. The only difference in Seattle is that various aspects of the chemical attack disaster network including hospitals are on "alert" due to the nature of the event. By this I mean the number of official ministers and staff, large attendance and magnet for every interest. A number of government agencies ranging from the FBI, CIA, SWAT, Secret Service, etc. will participate as well.
