I only wish I had the vision to buy when it was in the .40-.50 range. Anyone here buying any China stocks listed in Hong Kong or the mainland? Although they've had a recent run up, some still appear attractively valued. I've just looked at some discount brokerage rates (for trading there) which seem reasonable (unlike those of many Canadian brokers).

Who would have thought TOM would trade a quarter million dollars in a day?

I looked at the three month chart and it doesn't even draw bar graphs for volume for most of the past three months - current volume dwarfs it that much.

Anyway, with the US holiday, I wouldn't be surprised if the price and volume falls back tomorrow and Friday. There may be a buying opportunity before the action picks up next week.

As I understand it, the IPO is next Thursday.

Steve, I have an account for my kids, so I'll ask them first if it's okay (they are under 5 years old).

As for an exit strategy. I agree with you, it is too early,
valuations based on IPO price of HK$1.50 for TST is about
CDN$3. You only need to calculate how many shares of TST TOMmy owns to see what TOMmy is worth based on that asset.

1 share of TOM holds approx. 8.5 shares of TST.

Steve, <<In my mind, the real action will be when TSI starts trading on December 2nd.>>

I agree - in part. I have no desire to sell at these prices. The new GEM listing will help, but my reason for holding TOMmy goes beyond December 2nd. I think that you'd agree, the slow steady buying is indicative of more than a GEM listing. The stage is set for TOMmy's move to the next level. Perhaps they'll make this (strategic) move around December 2nd - makes sense.

Good luck,

JT
