Thanks, mikey, for the Turkey Day wishes.
That would be unbelievable to not have inter-conference play.
Teams like the Rangers are the ones upsetting the apple cart in salary structure, and look where that has gotten them.
I know I'm Sabres' biased, but the salaries of Curtis Brown (about 1.3 mil.) and Jason Woolley (950 K), makes one scratch one's head for the price the Rangers paid for underachievers.
Brown and Woolley are two of the most underrated players in the league.
Also, Afinogenov is the real deal - check him out the next time you have an opportunity to see Buffalo on TV.

we've been down this road before: trying to remember when folks just wanted to play for the love of the game.... in ANY sport.... funny how it is a player will give his left nut (and possibly right one as well...) just to break into the league, be it baseball, football, hockey.... and once they are 'established', they make the huge demands ?
My thought is, if there is a salary cap, then who pockets all the excess $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ - oh - the owners do.... guess what ? you wanna know how many players will then turn into some form of an owner ? Bobby Orr almost did, but his agent never told him of the deal (according to the story on T.V.), didn't George Brett own a chunk of the Royals his last 2-3 years ?
