I guess we differ on this one.

Not to discount LDT but 64-bit x86 is a LOT more important to AMD's future than LDT. I personally think it is not as important as the 16-32 bit transition but in the same league.

Since you are inside Intel, you may want to send an e-mail to Colwell and find out why he is pushing for the same thing at Intel after having lost the battle the last time around.
