From Clark's description it means just that.

Windows 2000 is Microsofts's new name for NT 5.0, which will supposedly be out around February. I haven't heard any pricing, but presumably it will be on the order of NT 4.0 Workstation, which is typically around $200 ($220 at buy.com).
