Tagore, i don't think a buyout is possible due to the extent of the partnering - the unwinding would be difficult, unless something like MRK & another heavy partner merged, and formed an applicable joint venture with another VICL partner. Not too likely. IMSCO Scott

Maybe, just maybe the rally is on technicals. Maybe the traders have finally given up rolling this one from 9-16 and shares are now in patient hands. This kind of thing does happen and can result in a 'newsless' double.
