Thanks, coug. If you go to the thread and see not only the hostility to our little SI hunger project idea and the desire to get it stopped (and me kicked off), but also the jokes about food and hunger and throwing rice at weddings and Koolaid and Jonestown and going to eat a bowl of ice cream, (ha ha so funny that they have so much food and others don't, ha ha), I think you would have been just as revolted as were those whose comments about them offended you. In fact, from what you say about how you feel about cruel humor, I guarantee you would have.

And I'll say it frankly. I asked, in fact pretty much begged, no dignity at all, to know the reason for what TraderAlan was doing. He refused to enlighten me, so I don't know it. But in the absence of any information to the contrary from him, I DO, it's TRUE, think that those who were positive about that innocent little food project were the good guys, and that he and his crew who made cruel, self-satisfied, fat-cat jokes about the starving were the bad ones.

Okay, blame society. It makes us cruel, yadda yadda.

I don't, though. I blame them. I think they are cold, ugly, mean-spirited people. I admit it.

I don't want to cause you any emotional pain, Coug, but I want to ask you something. Did jlallen actually come to your defense, or did he try to use you for his own purposes?

I don't expect you to side with me, or believe what I tell you. I hope you will ask someone else, whom you trust, to give you an unbiased opinion. You know what my opinion is already. I respect your decision no matter what.

My point is that it's not always enough to be well-intentioned. Sometimes people use you for their own purposes. I don't know exactly why jlallen is my enemy, but that's his own choice. And I don't know exactly why the world has to be looked at in shades of black and white, again, that's not my choice. All I know is what I see.
