Coug, although I agree with you that alot of new blood has joined the short wagon- I think your assumption that everyone who got positioned short on Wednesday made an impulsive decision. One thing you fail to mention is people like myself who rely on American brokerage houses have to fight for shares.. When shorting a 'sure thing' like ADSP, you simply HAVE to come to the party early.. AMPD was the same thing.. After it posted 30-40 million in volume, and a 200+% return- every professional short seller was all over it like flies on sh** and there wasnt a share to be had anywhere.. Deep pockets can go offshore and dont need to make a borrow in the same fashion that American brokers are restricted to.. So yes, it makes the calculated risk a bit more difficult to stomach when you position at 10, and see it trade as high as 17 after hours.. but unless something totally off the wall happens, cows/pigs jump over the moon, this stock will fall well below 10 very shortly and I will have made another profit.. As for too many shorters jumping in without researching??- if you look on yahoo, or browse s/i and look at momo threads like kimberlys and tokyo joe, you will see who was playing this stock all wednesday. Shorts didnt come into the picture until late in the afternoon and this is far from a crowded short. If you notice the people who are here now ripping this thing apart, you will see they are people who have played this game for some time.. professionals... This one caught alot of us by surprise because we had holiday on our mind.. Friday is judgement day and thanks to CNBC and all the other idiots who dont do an ounce of research before making a statement will be responsible for hurting alot of people.. THATS the sad part.. dont feel bad for the shorters.. happy turkey day.. see you all bright and early Friday!
