Happy Thanksgiving! For some mid-day entertainment, check out what your turkey was doing before it lost its head:

Good morning, Rambi. It's afternoon here. I just got up (again), drank too much tequila last night and I feel terrible. Too many harsh words on SI, and I am tired of it. Wishing that I could just talk to my friends without being called names . . . . maybe this wish will come true. I have a dream . . . .

Going to put the turkey in the oven now, and start making the yeast dough for Parker House rolls. The way I read my turkey recipe, it will take four hours, but I am baking the dressing on the side, and starting the turkey at 400, breast down.

Happy Thanksgiving to all on DAR Mountain!

When on my own, eating a frozen dinner while watching the Cowboys is per deluxe. The timing is important. I like to eat dinner during the second quarter, then have a snack or dessert during the second half. It's an art.

III am pleased that I got a couple of invitations to dinner in this still-strange town. Now I can really say I'm hanging out alone by choice. Way better than doing it cause no one wants me. <sobsob> Ohh, and I could go the Bay Area!

I'm so happy for the folks whose families have gathered together. And for the parents whose children have returned to the fold for this holiday.

I give thanks for... DAR and all it's inhabitants, for my other friends (especially the best A, and the new T), and my job that I like and the great people I work with, and my family back home and around the country, and for Mitchell, and... I am thankful for My Cowboys and Frozen Dinners!

Dig in, everybody.

You need to move out west. The games were over long before turkey time -- no dispute necessary!

Penni, Kerrie puts our Turkey in some kind of a plastic bag and it cooks in about half the normal time. Really comes out juicy too.

Just something you might consider for next year.
