C Kahn. Interesting that everytime the topic of church atrocities comes up, the automatic excuse is that "...it wasn real christians doing the killing.". Gee then who was it? Where were the real christians when the rack was full of intestines and the blood ran through the streets? I'll tell you where they all were. Cheering the slaughter alongside of the inquisitor. Were the murderers just pretend christians? Were their leaders just pretend christians? And if so, then where the heck WERE the REAL christians? The excuse that it wasn't real christians doing the killing is weak beyond belief. Let me give you a modern example? Certain people who claim to be devout christians have bombed abortion clinics for years. While I agree that in this case they are probably NOT REAL christians, but where the heck are the real christians when it comes time to speak out? I read allot of headline news about christians who made great excuse for the acts, even suported the killers. But extremely few decrying the event. As for 46 years of church attendance, so what? I am 43 years old and have studied all my life more or less. Attendance means absolutely nothing. What study have you accomplished? and gee, what have you read OUTSIDE of your religous dogma? True investigation demands objective examination of everything and not just more study of your own texts. What jesus said and what the church has done for the last 1900 years or so are completely different things. Yet, your bible justifies it all doesn't it? How many slaughters have been done in the name of god throughout the bible? Millions?
