Bk, call it as you like.
However, there are many like myself who will tell you their lives are totally different ONLY because of what Christ has done. That's the "ongoing factual suport" as well as it supporting "reality as we know and experience".

There is a void in every individual's heart that only Christ can fill. We can attempt to fill it with fluff, but Jesus is the Real Thing. ( I hate using terminology like that :) )

There's one point that I agree with you on and that is that there is an element of faith involved. I can not force you to believe. Nor can I make you come to grips with what the purpose in life is. That still doesn't make what I or others say as untrue.

My life has meaning and it has a purpose. Can you say the same thing? Again, is Christ real or not? I would venture to say that if you truly claim you were "Born again" sometime in your life, then either you let the "truth" slip away (there's still time to get it back) or you never really had Him to begin with.

Those of us that walk and talk with Jesus know it is a daily, living reality.

BK, what religion, belief, or theory is based on incontravertible proof? Hindu, buddhism, shinto, islam, evolution, big bang, taoism, humanism, and any others I may have failed to mention. Everything we do is based on faith of one kind, or another. Every idea that ever occurred to man, that is not of physics, or chemistry, is theory and not proof. Just because five historians don't BELIEVE that Jesus existed, does NOT make it a fact. Yes, it is a consensus of opinion. The consensus of opinion once declared that the earth was flat. A consensus of opinion once declared that the universe revolved around the earth.

You seem to keep saying the Christians do not allow you to have other opinions but, at the same time, you denigrate our opinions. Is that fair, or conducive to discussion? TD
