OT: whenever I see lists like this, I get the urge to recommend living abroad for a while if one really want's to see "perplexing" social behavior. One doesn't have to go far - a western european country will more than suffice. For example, in France, le President de la republique, Francois Mitterand kept a mistress and illegitimate daughter at taxpayer's expense, and when rumors finally began circulating, started wiretapping everyone (at least all the journalists.) What a guy! One can understand the French scratching their heads over l'affaire Lewinsky. As for the ease of buying a handgun, well not here in the Peoples Republic of Massachusetts... Anyhow, the point really being we don't know how good we have it here.
