Just go this report on the meeting today at the companies headquarters: Excellent Presentation! Impressive!!!! I attended the afternoon session there were about 100-125 present.Mr. Mike Ivezic started the presentation with an overview of the company, the product and the business plan. Hi-lights....The uni-point technology has many applications aside from the Auto rescue, such as Cargo tracking...Fleet management...Elderly care,.....Child safety.....Wireless E911 location. It was explained to us the the vehicle services utilizes Less than 4% of the network capacity, thereby leaving 96% open for other business opportunities (see above). The attributes of Auto-rescue were explained Automatic Arming/disarming...Impossible to detect or disable....24/7 professional monitoring....Theft Alert and real time locating in seconds....Police advised immediately, thereby ensuring quick recovery. A snap shot of the company's current activities was given, and it was stated that they are now completing commercialization of the product....the network will be deployed Q2/2000.....That the sales team is in place and active......Partnering relationships are being developed in areas the corporation will not be active in.....and that sales are projected to start in the summer of 2000. Projected sales figures Year 2000---10 Million....Year 2001----50 Million......Year 2002----90 Million. These figures only take into account the 3 corporate areas of Southern Ontario, California and Florida. Centraxx plans to further roll out 6 additional corporate areas, I didn't get all 6 (slide was too quickly changed), but I got three, they are Las Vegas, Baltimore, and New Jersey/ New York. None of the projected revenue from these additional areas has been factored into the earnings projections. A brief explanation of how the base station works was given. It is apparently aligned with true North when installed, and when it receives an alert it "pings" the tag and calculates a range and angle with respect to the true North. It continues to "ping" the tag and can therefore track it in real time. We were told that the data pipe to the car is very wide, with lots of I-O, therefore other devices can be hooked up to it, such as ignition, door locks, USB bus interfaces etc. The frequency it operates on is between 902 and 928 Mh. the unit has the same penetration capacity as a cell phone. We were then treated to a demonstration of the system. It performed flawlessly, we could see the tag moving on the map representing the tagged car's real time movement, and a chaser car was instructed as to the location of the tag-car and subsequently intercepted. In the afternoon session the chaser and the tag eluded each other a bit due to traffic and the delayed start of the chaser, but eventually the chaser did catch up to the tag and the tagged car could have been pulled over as would have happened in a real life situation. Map Nouveau was used as the mapping software that the tag could be seen on. various other mapping software products could have been used also. Apparently in the morning session the chase car and the tag car were manned by police officers and the tag car was trying to elude the chaser by listening to the instructions the base station was given to the chaser on a police radio (the Chase car and the tag car could not ordinarily listen to the base station simultaneously), so the cops tried to fool the system, result.... The tag car was identified by the chaser in a mere 4.5 minutes. After the demonstration we were invited to rooms in the hotel where the system was hooked up, and you could actually verify for yourself by looking out the window and seeing the tag car movement and then verifying that movement was duplicated with an identical movement on the screen. SUMMARY... the system works flawlessly....professional presentation....dedicated people..... support from police and politicians.....support from the financial industry IT'S A WINNER. Note... when I drove up to the hotel I noticed the base station on the roof of the hotel, it was about the size of a 17" monitor, round and white, and was mounted on top of what looked like an t.v. antennea tower (remember those??) I also understand that there were substantially more people at the morning session. I did not meet any of the other posters although Chuck Courson did tell me that some-one was looking for me in the morning session. Sorry, perhaps we'll meet at another time. Regards ...The sky's the limit.
