---OT---

The webmaster sent me a pleasant e-mail Wednesday evening apologizing for any inconvenience and stating she performed some manipulations to get me back to where I could post. If anyone has difficulties with SI I recommend contacting the webmaster. She aims to please.

Stitch is right. The money is not much more than a magazine subscription but it seems to be enough to keep some people from destroying the threads. On other services some threads get ruined by people that may sign on under several different names to sound like a consensus. They may tout their own stock and bash all competitors. It is a pleasure not to wade though that kind of thing to get to meaningful posts. I am grandfathered but I never ruled out paying as long as long as the threads I read stay as useful as they are. I feel honored to contribute just to do my part.

I also agree that any drastic changes by SI would be shooting themselves in the foot. They have been careful to avoid drastic changes. The grandfathered policy in itself was designed to make no changes for the old members while gradually changing the service to fee based. The change to the new format was performed gradually give us time to adapt. I think SI values their customers and will avoid wide-scale changes.

Regards,
Mark
