<Yes it is. Like I said before, I've seen the arguments put forth at MPF by Fred Weber. AMD's plans for the enterprise is x86-64. Intel's plans for the enterprise is IA-64 (among other things). You don't think AMD is trying to derail IA-64? > So, by your definition, IA-64 was conceived to derail Alpha from the enterprise? <In any case, I think AMD has to worry more about Foster (and its derivatives) than about IA-64.> Too early to tell.
