djia, I didn't expect settlement for a long time until
judge Posner was appointed. It is as if going through
appeals court an year earlier.

Posner will tell DOJ/states that
a) MSFT is not a monopoly in the broader OS sense and the
industry is too dynamic.
b) MSFT didn't do predatory pricing
c) MSFT helped consumers.
Where would that leave DOj and states? They wil take any
settlement. I have read a bit about Judge Ponser since the
appointment. This is the best thing happned to this case
since it all started.

I think market will reward the stock soon. Could be as
soon as tomorrow as the news of settlement discussions
is leaking.
