Funny. Chris's parents were good friends with a pilot with United Airways, with a sense of humor that occasionally got him into trouble. One story I recall was that the plane he was piloting, and another, a Lufthansa, were ready to take off from Chicago O'Hare. The Lufthansa was technically ahead in the queue, but the United plane got clearance first. A strong German accent comes over the radio, "vy haff ve not received clearance first?", to which the friend replied, "because ve von de var!!!"
