My only concern on Y2K would be if I am out of money on New Years Eve, in need of another beer, and need to use a ATM. Other then that I agree that it and even my example will be a non event.

I am not worried about Y2k personally affecting me or my way of life. I am terribly worried about the crowd mentality when a trickle can be a raging flood in a matter of hours on wall street. It is my investing dollars( short term until the idiots realize as you say that Y2k isnt that big a deal) that concern me. We may indeed see a small exodus suddenly turn into a flood in the latter part of December. I cetainly hope not, but I would be surprised if the market doesnt pull back 1,000 pts or better before New Years. I will play my investing decisions during this month, one day at a time. I do,however, appreciate your response.
