C Kahn: Beliefs? I suppose its because I want to avoid writting a book here. I am not trying to avoid anything. Lets see if I can put it a nut shell.

We are eternal.

We have no need for a saviour because we have not nor have we ever been "lost".

We come to life to gain, oh say four things: Love and compassion, knowledge and wisdom.

We choose each life.

We reincarnate as needed.

Thats a very scant over view of the basics.

Thre are a number of very good sources for this information covering many many thousands of years. My personal favorite is Budhist philosophy. But in this day and age there is some serious on going research into these matters by educated people, so such things are loosing the air of unacceptable curiosity.

If you like there are a number of good books I could reccomend on Near Death Experiences, After Death Communication, and Reincarnation.

Interesting note. In all of my reading and personal experience of people who have died and come back, or people who have died and been contacted, or those who experience Out of Body events, none of them (with the exception of the odd .001 percent) are telling us to embrace any certain religion. The general outline of the information obtained lies above. In fact I have read many accounts of devout christians who had a Near Death Experience, who came back very very changed.
