I agree that a persons risk tolerance and as, or more important, their personal situation should dictate the advisability and/or weighting of holding the JDX's in their RRSPs. I don't think Keith would argue the point. Personally I hold a %age in my RRSP that is within my comfort zone given my particular situation.

I am surprised that you assume everyone's risk tolerance would include speculative stocks such as Jordex in their retirement funds

I never used the words "everyone" once. And by the way, it is in my retirement fund.
