For your Stock Watchers;) FONAR Corp (FONR) Summary.
Until 1995 Fonar had experienced hardships because many of the Medical divisions of LARGE Corp's had infringed Fonar's Technology, keeping Fonar out of the Market Place. In May of 1995 Hitachi settled the suit brought against them by Fonar on opening day of arguments. General Electric was also named in that same infringement case brought by Fonar Corp. General Electric fought this all the way through the US Supreme Court and LOST. GE ended up PAYING Fonar Corp. $128.7 Million
in late 1997.
During the time frame from 1995 to present here are other companies besides Hitachi, who have also settled. Siemens Medical; Philips; Toshiba; Smadsu; & Elscent. Fonar has only defended 4 of their 41 patents and is expected to CONTINUE to Protect their Patents ;)

Fonar currently has a Large suit against Health South (HRC) which should either settle or go to trial in 2000.
Before WINNING the GE infringement (which GE still does not have a licensing and royalty agreement YET;) Fonar had NO Cash. Since the GE cash was paid to Fonar in late 1997, Fonar has moved forward rapidly.

Million in Revenue and the 1999 just reported Revenue was 36.9.

"Interesting that this last paragraph has been included in the last 6 recent News Releases. Draw your own conclusion.
In 1980, FONAR introduced the world's first commercial MRI whole-body scanner. The widespread application of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) in medicine and biology today is the direct result of the landmark discoveries and early pioneering work of Dr. Damadian. His seminal discoveries of the variations in soft body tissue relaxation
times, as well as the cancer detecting NMR signal, are the means used by all MRI scanners to detect cancer and distinguish healthy versus diseased tissues. A 1997 U.S. Supreme Court ruling affirmed that Dr. Damadian's patented discoveries are fundamental to every MRI unit in the marketplace today."

These are quotes and information from Fonar News releases, as well as my own thoughts and perceptions. Investment decisions are your own.
