John, the market mania has reached the stage where the market acts like a closed system, and keeps going up merely because it's going up. i don't think there will be worries about rate hikes intruding on the euphoria, since everybody knows the Fed is trapped by the bubble...so while lip service is paid to counter the obvious inflationary developments in the economy, the Fed is providing liquidity at a rate higher than during last year's crisis. apparently short term peace of mind is bought by vastly increasing future risks. i have no doubt that this strategy will eventually back-fire big time. regards, hb
