C Kahn: Sincerity? I do respect the christian who respects me. Their not the problem. Its the intollerant ones who are trying to change our lives and our government in accordance to their bible. But even so, what is the problem with my attempting to shed a little enlightenment in your life? Is it so hard to believe there are things you may not know, or understand? I may bring up things that are tough to deal with, but its not about hatred. Trust me. The biggest problem I have is with the "political christians". The fact that they think they "know" what is right for the majority, and will stop at nothing to insure we are ALL saved. Of course this means we must vote like them, talk like them, act like them, worship like them, or if I don't then I am going to hell. They talk out of both sides of their mouth. First they say God created me in his image (the old potter and clay thing), then they say you are different so you are wrong and now you are going to hell (because I didn't choose to be like you). Guess what, god created me to be just like I am. The real bottom line is this: I follow common sense "laws", very similar to what christians call "ten commandments", and I very much believe the saying of "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". I love my family and I believe in the old Wiccan addage of "do what you will, bring no harm to others". But because I don't call myself christian, I am damned. Where is the justice from your loving God?
