Hello niceguy767,

Personally, I think that the 3 year downtrend has been broken at $27 to $27.25 and, as a result, a powerful upswing is in its formative stage. As i don't think much overhang exists, I think we'll get to $33 in a hurry and $48.25 when 99Q4 earnings are release

Thanks for your posts on this thread, and eliciting discussion on AMD stock price action and trends which has been sorely missing on this thread for a long time (except for the occasional contributions from Ted, Jim, Frank and DRBES). It seems, there is nice rally going on and the AMD stock just broke the $28 barrier ($28 1/16 - 12.13). I've a strong feeling it's going to close above $28 and we may not see $27 again if AMD continues to execute well.

niceguy,

It just made another stab at getting above 27 (got as far as 28 1/16) and fell back. I think DRBES is right....when I looked at the chart this AM, I saw a lot of congestion about a year ago. I think its that stuff that is slowing things up. I do believe that on Monday or Tuesday with everyone back and especially if GTW makes an announcement, we should push thru 28.
