Thanks for asking Newton. I will explain it all to you on Sunday. You can apply these principles to any oversold stock for a short term bounce. Longer term you have to have a great deal of patience in order to make money off of these stocks. I play many stocks short term and only hold the stocks I have really done an extreme amount of due diligence long term. Right now I am loading up on VONE for a big move next week. As always I am looking for a big return to.....

>I just noticed your site this morning and am curious about your strategy. What is your strategy when you find this oversold stocks are you looking for the short term bounce or a long term recovery?<

Newton I think this strategy can be successful both long and short term but certainly on a short term basis. Every single day it seems that one or more companies are forced to release bad news. News so bad that investors are ill prepared for it causing a mass exodus as fear takes grip. The result is a technically oversold stock. This oversold condition often results in a bounce of 10 to 40% from the lows. The stocks always seem to attempt a recovery as new investors jump in and old investors average down. Companies which you may know well and that are well capitalized may be well worth holding longer term for real recoveries.

>Also where do you look to find these turnaround candidates?<

I look at percentage loser and dollar loser lists for potential investments. I do this at the Free Real Time site but there are many sites that offer the same information:

quotes.freerealtime.com

The stock reports listed here by Yahoo also include reports on stocks when they get halted. The precipitous drop that often ensues after a stock is halted is exactly the kind of opportunity that reduces much of the short term risk of investing.

biz.yahoo.com

Of course I also look for market trends which is why I was able to discover the potential for a big move in VONE before the current mania got started. Investors are advised to do their own due diligence. Anything that I may state, in any post, is merely an opinion based on prior experiences and future expectations. I may have a long position in any stock discussed on this thread and as such I am biased by my own expectations. I invest to make money. As always, I am looking for a big return to
