I admit I did not spend too much time on the page to figure out what was shaking... Just long enough to know it was about yet another work of man that was suppose to be "about" God. God has explained and described Himself in the Bible.. men pretend they want to know him by creating images in their own image! God is not the created one we are. God made us we did not make God ! Look at the stages of Idolatry... men do not start off worshipping snakes in a basket. They start off rather " harmlessly" as do you... Refusing to accept God report about Himself and going about to make up you own ! Romans 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, You see Idolaters always think they are wiser than the Sons of God. Romans 1:23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. There are the stages of digression... first likened unto man. I don't know how many people I have heard ask me... " If you were God and a good father would you blah baha blah...." They start with man and build a god likened unto to him. They are really worshipping themselves ... their intellect and ability to think and create... etc.. being like God: Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. knowing or determining for themselves good and evil ! Man desires to be his own moral law maker.. allowing adultery as love, theft as survival of the fittest, on and on. Rejecting God's moral code and making his own.. Eat that fruit.. be wise and open eyes.. can't knock it if you've never tried it ! You consider yourself a "nice person" basically a good guy.. God is HOLY you need to get 100% to get into heaven according to your niceness . The Bible plainly teaches that the righteousness of Man is a sad joke: Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. "Filthy rags" actually refers to menstrual rags. Your happy with your niceness I am not with mine. Nor will I appear in heaven because of any work that I have done. Indeed I speak the truth to you as best I can because I will suffer from Christ if I do not ! 1 Corinthians 9:16 For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel! Lots of the saints have tried to not bother with the hassle of telling men to repent or that they are in sin and sons of God's Wrath ! God does not let that work out.. They end up in the belly of a whale or worse. I am called to speak the truth... indeed to speak the truth in love.. I would see men repent and belive and be saved but if they don't that is not my problem. God calls men to preach to soften some and to harden others. The chips land exactly where the Lord will have them fall but the Call is for men to Seek the Son and to kiss and embrace Him. I love this Psalm. It is the most quoted in the New Testament. It is about the Rule and Kingship of Jesus Christ Psalm 110. Psalm 110: 1 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. 2 The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. 3 Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth. 4 The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. 5 ô The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath. 6 He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries. 7 He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head. My God is a God of War ! Lord of Hosts ( armies ) Psalm 18:34 He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms. 35 Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great. I love Him... wish you did too.
