Dan3,

Two announcements are expected Monday:

Gateway will start selling AMD Athlon PCs and

The Athlon 750 is available in volume from Compaq, IBM, and Gateway.

Two comments:

1. I read that Gateway denied that, at least for now. I think I saw this on the AMD thread.

2. Volume? How many is that?

Still, I hope today is the response to these two things you mention.

Tony

Dear Dan and all: Hard to imagin. I presume that INTC is a stock very much effected by the action of the mutual funds. Recently they have all been scrambling to have the RIGHT stocks in their portfolios when the issue their annual reports and show the investors what they are holding. INTC has always been an institutional favorite. I am presuming they are lightening up on INTC to include some other stocks recently of great interest to the public. I think INTC needs to get on the bandwagon and start giving their stock a little SIZZLE. I have owned INTC now for about 3 years and this is the worst year I can remember in terms of SCREW UPS with product releases and all. Yes, I know they have had some problems in the past but NEVER of this amount and magnitude. Also, for some damn reason there seems to be a lot of GRUMBLING about using Rambus as their bus in the future. Personally, seems like the right thing to do to me, but I think they have been delinquent in describing WHY its the right thing to do. JDN
