Td: Geez you are so very hard headed aren't you? My point all along has been that the christian faith has never been what it claims to be. You want to over look all of that bloodshed then so be it. I know YOU had nothing to do with it. But its kinda like me claiming that my whole family and I have been nothing but loving and kind all through out the years, when in fact my father was a racist. It kinda takes the wind out of my claims. So explain how such a religion of love and tolerance, as you would have me believe, was birthed in the blood of the old testiment?

The whole point here TD is that it is all so very contradictory.

As to Hinduism and Budhism I refer to my Harpers Encyclopedia. I quote,

"Hinduism: Religion indigenous to India, practiced by those who are not Muslim, Buddhist, Jain, or Sikh. Hinduism has no founder, no defining creed, and no centralized hierarchy..." "Its oldest documents are the Vedas"..."compiled between 1000 and 500 B.C.

"Buddhism: Religion of the awakened one, based on the teachings of the historical Buddah, Shakyamuni, born Siddhartha Gautama c. 566 B.C. -486 B.C.) Buddhism is one of the worlds great religions, although some argue that it is a philosphy and not a religion (mee too). It originated in India, where it died out after the 12th and 13th centuries, and then spread ...."

So, I don't know what YOU read in the Britanica or Comptons, but this and other texts are very clear on the basis of both of these religions. One is exclusive of the other.

Whats the freaking point anyway?
