What does this mean????? WHy can't you make pecan pie??
I just ate leftovers. I took my mother-in-law into Dallas to Sam Moon's discount jewelry. It was wall to wall with screaming women, grabbing things like mad. I bought all sorts of stuff- I don't even know what yet- I just was afraid I was missing something. We had fun.
What was the main dish for a veggie couple? What do you carve?
What did you stuff?

That kitty looks just like Blue!!!!

Does that mean you don't eat eggs, either, even unfertilized ones? Because I think the eggs are the only thing in a pecan pie that could offend vegetarian sensibilities. There are non-dairy substitutes for butter, if you don't eat butter.

...

I just called the owner of the local healthfood store to ask if they carry an egg substitute for vegetarians to use in cooking things like custards and pies, and he says he thinks they used to have one, though he's not sure whether it's vegetarian or not. But he suggested that tomorrow I call their chef and ask her. So I will. I'll bet that somebody has made something like this. Wouldn't you think? Since there are so many vegetarians now?

If there is an egg substitute, you could have ersatz pecan pie a la tofutti mode.
