Message 12121662 Terry Swift On the Barrick thread! I think it's time for investors to evaluate Barrick for its total return i.e. profits from production and hedging. And a lot of investors must be believers - isn't the company #1 in the world in market cap? You can go through life believing that a company lies in its public documents - or you can believe it - it's your choice - and as I've said elsewhere -if you're a market player you have many options - including investing elsewhere. And if, as you believe, there is a hidden cost to the hedging progeamme which can impact on earnings, what do you think it is? And wouldn't the auditors be duty bound to disclose it as a contingent liability?
