Chuz,

Agree with most of your post especially the masking of falling earnings or falling growth rates in earnings resulting from buybacks.

Re Options: I believe that this is almost always an abuse of the shareholders assets used to over-compensate those who haven't risked their own capital.

Unfortunately, there are very few investments which provide comparable returns but which have eliminated this abuse.

All the same, I believe the problem is the option plan, not the buyback.

By the way, I do agree with all the substance of what you've been saying. This has just been my comments and airing of some of my pet peeves.
