Hi Jaytee,

Sorry about being late with this reply. Been away all day.

I've been a Windows on Wall Street user for many years, through several upgrades. Recently they decided to forget all of us who had been with them for years and not support us with a simple patch to make our Version 5.x compliant with Y2K. Then, Omega took (or is taking) them over.

So, I decided I should go with the "grand daddy" of all charting programs. And that is Metastock. Now, I haven't had as much time with it as I had hoped due to some personal distractions over the past number of weeks. However, what I've found with MS is that it's pretty simple to use, but different from WOW in many ways. Some I like better, some not.

I use Quotes Plus for my EOD data. Been with them about 1.5 years and like them. Maybe the best I've used in over 12-14 years of doing this. And, QP has a wonderful scanning capability. I quit using the scans from WOW and don't plan to do much scanning with MS, if any. I'm not good at writing scans, but QP has a terrific group of users who share, share, share. They even have a separate site where you can go to download other folks scans. A candy store!

I'm into keeping things pretty simple. So programs like TF don't interest me. I don't want to mess with my computer, I want to analyze stock charts. MS gives me more TA capability than I had with WOW (much more), and produces a beautiful chart (as did WOW) in a hurry.

If you're a WOW user (or any of the other "name" programs), MS will knock $50 bucks off their price. I got mine for $299 and should have done this instead of WOW in the first place.

Thanks for the book suggestion. I'll check it out. But, I already have a pretty complete library on all of this, so will take a look at the local Barnes & Noble before I spend any more bucks on books.

Ken
