Mohan,

Great laugh!

I stopped watching WSW a couple of years ago. A few of the shows clarified what Lou is about for me.

One was the appearance of one of Wall St's. most famous bulls.

For the better part of the interview, this person twisted the historical record and spun the facts in such a biased fashion while attempting to support the valuations that I thought any responsible person would feel compelled to at least question them slightly and give a balanced view.

No such luck. It turned into a cheerleader's convention.

On another episode, a value guy was attempting to explain his free cash flow model and made the point that he couldn't find any companies that came even close to meeting his criteria for investment.
Lou almost had a stroke and did everything possible to cut off the conversation and change the subject.

On another show Lou directed some comments towards a long term (and extremely bright) bear that I thought were quite unprofessional and not a good natured tease. It was obvious he didn't want facts confusing the issues on his bullish show.

It was at that point that I realized that despite a bunch of interesting guests over the years, the show was more about being an info-mercial for Wall St. than giving beneficial investment advice.

I never watch it anymore. I consider the show to have "anti-value" and Lou to be.....

Wayne

Mohan, I also wrote some pithy stuff about Louis Ruykeyser, calling him a diva and a Barbara Bush imitator, but they chose not to print that part. <g>
