Sometimes they lock up the stock the day before the play. I didn't check my clearing firm on Friday morning, but I will bet money that they had zero shares to short. Yeah, I tried through two firms to short this thing in the 50s, but was told it was unavailable. So I watched it fall some 20 points in that many minutes, and than went long for about 10 mintutes andsold for 3 3/8 points. That was enough for me. I took it off my screen and forgot about it the rest of the day. The irony of all these pro longs is that they negate to sympathise with some poor folk that got sucked in going long in the 50s. Now they have lost as much as some of the short sellers, and if I had my choice, I'd rather be short at the close because I doubt strongly this POS will ever see those highs again.
