I would, however, love to know about any software that can take in all our trades from a spreadsheet and assist us in tax preparation. . . .so that we do not have to enter each and every trade one by one. . .but rather paste them all into a spreadsheet, then have the program do the calculations and properly formatting for filing You might find this program helpful. Rande, do you file w/trader status? I have been considering it. My understanding is that you have to declare in writing to the IRS you are planning on doing this. So it would be too late for 1999 to be a trader status year. But I could claim it for 2k. Am I right or wrong? thanks.. x p.s. I think you and I have the same ISP. I'll be dammed if I can connect faster than 28.8 half of the time. VERY frustrating.
