<<Hey HJ... think about this one... if you could get a JOB then maybe you could move to a real city like SF (where houses cost 20 million) instead of that low-rent dinky Seattle which is a big-city wannabe!>> Hey Lizzie, as we speak I'm here in my beautiful home here in La Costa Calif enjoying, as usual the sun. I can fall out of my house, and land on the La Costa golf course, which many feel is one of the best Golf courses in the world. I can get in my Porsche, and be at the ocean in only 5 minutes. Or I can drive 30 miles south and be in downtown San Diego. Now, yes I consider my self to be a Seattle boy. I first went to Seattle when I was 21.I have a lovely home on Lake Sammamish, which is only 5 minutes from the MicroSoft campus, and If the traffics not bad, I can be Downtown Seattle in about 20 minutes. I don't like Seattle as much as I used to. It's too crowded, third worse traffic congestion in America. There's a $billionaire on every corner waving their stock options, and the rain in the winter drives me nuts. The property prices up there are also ridiculous. Now, you want me to move the the city, or is it the Bay area? Well, I have no interest in living in the city. Remember, I lived in Palo Alto, but worked out of the San Francisco Andersen Consulting office for years. When I was there you could literally eat off the street, and a street person was hard to find. I believe that's not true anymore. Hey! I'm told you can't even bend over to pick up a $100 bill without someone protecting your ass in the city. Yes,I've heard all the horror stories, about what you guys are facing with the cost of property up there. My do you think I've been playing this IPO, and the B2B mania? If I end up having to move to your area, less than a $Billion, is just not going to cut it. So I'm doing whatever it takes just in case we might someday be neighbors.;-) Ps I have a job. Can you imagine spending your day trying to sell into HR? If I can't get the CFO's attention, I'm toast. Have you ever met an HR person that would make a decision? If you have please let me talk to her.
