Hello! I need advice. Does a UNIX expert lurk on this thread?

Spouse has run Sun's Solaris since September. Solaris has never crashed.

Of course, most other people use the Windows Operating System so when spouse sends material to others he uses the Windows format.

Recently, he sent material to four people. Three responded: the material that you sent to us had a virus or viruses!!!

Spouse asked his technical support who told him that UNIX does not come down with viruses.

Is this true?

Technical support told spouse that UNIX has 'sniffers' ~ people who want access to the password only. These people do not want to crash the system.

Cheers,

Mephisto
