Be careful with extrapolation,

Profit margin can change especially on Q over Q basis with CMGI due to irregular money flows. This quarter will be much lower than last. Next quarter if Alta Vista goes will show a spike.

With all due respect...CMGI is a great company with a very bright future BUT...

You may want to look a little closer at what you call "profit margin". When taking out one time gains on investments I believe both CMGI and CNET are not profitable on an operating basis. Both very good companies no doubt.

The future of the internet will be companies that can leverage the power and functionality of the net on a profitable basis.

Look to AOL, Yahoo, and Go2net for companies with expanding profitability on a pro forma operating basis.

Best!
