hjm, even junior inets are spending $10s of millions in advertising. my question is... why? i thought hoards of folks were banging down doors to buy stuff on the net. actually, i don't think that, but a lot of folks apparently do!

50% go bust? i'd give it 1.5 years. i also don't think most folks believe this or everyone wouldn't have billion dollar caps.

tough love is around the corner... when, not if...

amzn is spending $100 million on advertising this xmas (they could spend $1 billion and it wouldn't be enough w/ the ads they have out!). they'll have to sell nearly a billion just to break even.

the net is no longer a novelty and growth is slowing dramatically. they cut advertising and their sales drop off immensely.
